Mold

HT Inspection provides the highest quality Mold Testing, Mold Remediation Planning, Mold Clearance and Post Mold Cleanup Testing in New York, Massachusetts, and Vermont. We are licensed by New York State for our mold work.

Molds break down everything for food. The same powerful digestive enzymes that enable molds to eat food can lead to structural damage of building materials and personal items. Various molds are responsible for incalculable damage to stored goods and building materials each year. These same molds that cause great damage to buildings, are responsible for affecting the health of the residents/occupants and the structural soundness of the building.

Some molds are known to be highly toxic when ingested, such as the types that invade grains and peanuts. Still others cause negative health effects, such as asthma, allergic reactions, or worse affecting our respiratory system, immune system and nervous system and more, when they or their byproducts are inhaled. Most molds found indoors come from outdoors and there are certain marker molds that are looked for in analyzing test results indicating an indoor water problem, either presently or in the past facilitating indoor growth. The amount of mold that can cause health problems in some people is different for each person and is a reflection of the persons genetics and life experiences.

Molds can be dormant for vast periods of time.

HT Inspection provides the following mold testing and assessments:

  • Visual mold investigation
  • Source and origin of the mold
